How to Use Cubiscan for Weighing and Measuring Products

Using a Cubiscan is a fast and accurate way to capture the weights and measurements of your products.

Taking advantage of the QBIT-XFER software, you can have the measurements transferred to ShipHero as part of the receiving process eliminating manual entry, which is time-consuming and error-prone.

This was configured using the Data Test feature of the software. Configuration when connected to an actual device may differ. Any questions regarding the configuration and setup of your Cubiscan device or the QBIT-XFER software should be directed to Cubiscan.

  1. Download and install the QBIT-XFER software. You will need to purchase a license from Cubiscan.
  2. You can go to Tools > Options and configure the setting appropriate for your hardware.
  3. On the Data Transfer > Mode tab set the following options:
    • Data transfer options: Keyboard wedge/cursor location
    • Initial cursor movement: 0
    • Cursor movement type: Tab
    • Target window name: ShipHero
    • Send <Enter> key after final cursor movement: Checked
  1. On the Data Transfer > Format > Dimensions tab set the following options:
    • Length: Enabled
      • Field order: 1
      • Subsequent cursor movement: 1
    • Width: Enabled
      • Field order: 2
      • Subsequent cursor movement: 1
    • Height: Enabled
      • Field order: 3
      • Subsequent cursor movement: 1
  2. On the Data Transfer > Format > Weight/cube tab set the following options:
    • Weight: Enabled
      • Field order: 4
      • Subsequent cursor movement: 2

Now, when receiving a product, open the Edit Item mode and trigger the Cubiscan read.
