As of October 2, 2023, SocketMobile scanners must be in Basic (HID) mode to communicate with the ShipHero mobile app; after that date, scanners in iOS Application mode will no longer work with the app. This change can be made at any time; you do not need to wait until October 2nd.
NOTE: For Newly purchased scanners, no action is needed.
NOTE: Scanners in Basic mode will not show a green dot on the scanner icon in the menu. This is expected and will not impact the functionality.
For Scanners in iOS mode:
- Disconnect the scanner from the iPad in Bluetooth settings.
- Scan the Basic Mode barcode.
- Connect the scanner to the Bluetooth settings.
If you have trouble, try these steps:
- Forget the scanner in the iPad Bluetooth settings.
- Scan the Factory Reset barcode.
- Connect the scanner to the Bluetooth settings
