ChannelAdvisor & ShipHero Integration Overview

To make the most of this integration, it's important to understand exactly what information is shared between ShipHero & Channel Advisor. Below is a breakdown of different data that is shared back and forth.

  • ShipHero only looks at the profiles specified by you, the customer
  • ShipHero will match one of our warehouses with a distribution center in Channel Advisor
    • We only pull in orders and products mapped to a distribution center
  • For product imports, ShipHero saves the SKU, name, dimensions and product image
  • ShipHero pushes inventory updates and ship notifications back to Channel Advisor
  • ShipHero will change the SKU in our system if it changes in Channel Advisor
  • ShipHero saves all this information from Channel Advisor as tags on the order in ShipHero. The tags in ShipHero are:
    • SiteID
    • ProfileID
    • SiteOrderID
    • SecondarySiteOrderID
    • SiteName
    • ShippingClass
    • ShippingCarrier

How to Connect Channel Advisor to ShipHero

Assistance from ShipHero's Software Support team is required to implement the Channel Advisor connection.

Below is the information required to start the process.

Information to Connect Channel Advisor to the Account

  1. Log into the Dashboard and go to My Account > Stores.
  2. Navigate to the Store dropdown list on the right side of the screen and click on + Add a new store and select Channel Advisor from the dropdown menu.

  3. A pop-up window will appear. Enter your Channel Advisor Shop Name in the field and click Connect.

You will need to provide a CSV of the Channel Advisor distribution center ID that needs to be mapped to the warehouse(s). (Attached below.)

Note

For 3PLs, the connection of Channel Advisor will be on the 3PL client level, and this will be connected to the 3PL warehouse.

Information Needed to connect carriers

  1. A list of carriers that need to be mapped to Channel Advisor.
  2. If using multi-warehouse, which warehouses must be mapped to Channel Advisor.
  3. A CSV with a list of Channel Advisor carrier classes that will be mapped to carriers within ShipHero. (Attached below.)

Communication Between Channel Advisor and ShipHero

Understanding what information can be passed or updated between Channel Advisor and ShipHero is essential to managing orders effectively between the platforms. Below is the list of order and line item fields that sync to ShipHero when an order is created.
