What is the 3PL Client Portal?
The 3PL Client Portal is a new, easy-to-use interface designed to encourage self-service for ShipHero’s 3PL clients' child accounts.
The 3PL Client Portal gives ShipHero’s 3PL clients the option to customize a portal for their clients to use that does not have ShipHero branding. This helps to remove any confusion among child accounts who may not know that the 3PL uses ShipHero’s WMS.
The interface is non-branded, which allows 3PL clients to add their own branding. The main elements of the portal that can be branded are:
- URL: Your company name can be added to customize the subdomain. (i.e. yourname.shipsfor.us)
NOTE: If you want a subdomain customized URL, please contact your Account Manager as availability needs to be verified
- Branded UI: Your company logo will be featured on the portal, on invoices, shipping orders, labels, email communications, etc.
What are the Main Activities 3PL Clients Can do Using this Portal?
Your clients will be able to complete the following tasks via the Client Portal.
- Shipping Plan Management for easier inbound shipments.
- Inventory Management for easy understanding of what products are in the warehouse.
- Order Management to support outbound activities, including transporting goods from warehouses to customers
- Also includes managing orders coming from your connected store, creating single orders, uploading orders in bulk, merging orders and more.
- Returns Management for simpler support of returned orders
- Reports access to keep your 3PL client up-to-date with information.
- Knowledge Base articles from ShipHero’s main Knowledge Base have been duplicated into the client portal to allow for your child accounts to manage their own self-service.
How Can I Opt-in to Use the Portal?
Contact your Customer Success Manager and let them know you would like to use the 3PL Client Portal. They will enable it for your account.
When you invite clients to access the Portal, a login wizard will help them navigate their initial account setup.
How Do I Define Which of My Warehouses my Client is Allowed View from the Portal?
When inviting a new 3PL client to join the 3PL Client Portal from your 3PL console (app.shiphero.com), you’ll be able to set up which warehouse (or multiple warehouses) you want your 3PL clients to join and view via the portal.
Does the Portal Replace app.shiphero.com for Current 3PL Clients?
No, if clients are currently using app.shiphero.com and choose to also use the 3PL Client Portal, they will be able to use both side by side. The option to use both interfaces will only be available for a limited time. We plan to sunset app.shiphero.com for 3PL clients over the next 24 months.
New 3PL Clients will only be able to use the 3PL Client Portal. They will not have access to app.ShipHero.com.
Does the 3PL Client Portal have Feature Parity with app.shiphero.com?
The portal was designed to be an easy-to-use, self-service option for your clients to manage specific tasks. We streamlined the experience, and believe it has some benefits over app.shiphero.com. Therefore, some screens and features may differ from what is offered on app.shiphero.com.
