This guide will walk you through the process of moving items out of an LPN (License Plate Number) container and placing them as loose inventory in a warehouse location using ShipHero Mobile. This is useful when you need to break down a box or pallet (LPN) and make individual items available.
There are two options available to unpack items from an LPN:

Unpack from LPN with Search by Location
- From the main menu of the app, tap on Inventory.
- Select Search by location.
- Scan or search the location that contains the LPN you wish to unpack.
- On the location screen, find the LPN and the items you want to move.
- Tap the pencil icon next to the item quantity.
- Enter the number of units you want to remove from the LPN. **If you are unpacking multiple different items from the same LPN, repeat this process for each item.
- Once you have entered all quantities, tap the blue Move button at the bottom.
- Scan or search the destination location for the items (this can be the same location as the LPN or a different one).
- Tap the Confirm button to finalize the move.

Unpack from an LPN with Search Items
- From the main menu, tap Inventory.
- Select Search Items.
- Scan or type the SKU you need to transfer from the LPN to a location. The app will navigate to the Edit Product Screen for that SKU.
- Tap the Edit Inventory action next to the On Hand count. The app will navigate to the Edit Inventory Screen for that SKU.
- Tap on Location Transfer at the bottom right.
- Scan or search the source LPN in the From field.
- Scan or search the destination location in the To field.
- Enter the quantity to unpack.
- Tap Confirm.
