We’ve optimized our process to help you set up, learn and optimize your warehouse and operations so you get the most out of ShipHero and run your best warehouse. ShipHero is a comprehensive solution that requires time and an understanding to use, you can't do this on your own.
What is onboarding?
Onboarding is a process designed to get you from here, to an optimized system, warehouse, and team.
How does it work and how long does it take?
Onboarding typically takes 3-5 weeks from start to finish. You are assigned an onboarding specialist who will work to understand your goals and share with you a checklist of tasks and actions to help you through the onboarding process.
What will we do during onboarding?
You will typically start by connecting your stores and shipping carriers. You will also set up your locations and inventory. There could be migration from your existing system to ShipHero. You will learn how to get the most out of your warehouse, and we will work together on a checklist to complete setup, training and get you live with ShipHero.
What should I be doing?
The most important thing for you to do is to complete the tasks on the checklist. There are certain tasks that are dependent on other tasks, it’s critical we follow the checklist and get tasks completed when identified to keep onboarding moving along.
Who should be involved with onboarding?
The other important thing is to involve the right people within your organization on the right calls. If the call is related to the warehouse setup, make sure that the warehouse manager is on the call. Onboarding is about making sure everyone is ready to use ShipHero when you go live. Educated team = great warehouse.
What happens after onboarding?
Once we have completed setup, have trained your team and you are using ShipHero, your onboarding specialist will hand you over to our support team who will partner with you for ongoing operational support.
