If you're looking to short-ship orders, you can use the Allow Partial setting.
An order is available for picking once all inventory is allocated to the order. If you would like to pick, pack, and ship orders that are not entirely in stock, you will need to enable the Allow Partial setting.
If the Allow Partial setting is off, then orders will not appear on ShipHero for picking and packing until all items are allocated. If the Allow Partial setting is on, then you will be able to pick, pack and ship the available items in the order. The rest of the order will show up for fulfillment when the remaining items are in stock.
NOTE: Any items that are in non-pickable bins are not "available" and therefore, cannot be picked. This will prevent you from being able to pick the rest of the order. Items can be backordered, but not in non-pickable bins.
For Example: Below are 2 orders with 3 items that have items either backordered, in pickable bins and in non-pickable bins. Here is how they will appear in ShipHero if Allow Partial Order is ON.
Order #1: 1 item in backorder, 2 items allocated to pickable bins
Will be able to pick two items allocated to pickable bins.
Order #2: 1 item in backorder, 1 item allocated to pickable bin, 1 item allocated to non-pickable bin
No items can be picked. All items allocated must be in pickable bins.
Set Allow Partial on One Order
Enabling this option will allow you to pick, pack, and ship that specific order even though all items are not allocated.
1. Log into app.shiphero.com.
2. Navigate to Orders > Manage Orders.
3. Select the Order Number from the list that you'd like to enable Allow Partial for.
4. Enable the Allow Partial option on the right side of the screen under Details.
Set Allow Partial on All Orders
1. Go to My Account > Settings > General Settings.
2. Enable the Default Allow Partial setting.
When this setting is enabled, all orders will have the Allow Partial option enabled and can be picked, packed, and shipped even though inventory is not available for the entire order.
