The Pending Shipments report is available from Orders > Pending Shipments or by going to https://app.shiphero.com/dashboard/orders/pending_shipments.
What is a Pending Shipment?
Pending Shipments represent the items in an order (or multiple orders) that will ship in one shipment.
There are several different scenarios that can make up a pending shipment:
- All items in a single order
- Some items in a single order
- Items across multiple merged orders
Note: When items in a Pending Shipment are allocated, the shipment could still not be ready to ship if other items in the associated orders are back-ordered (and Allow Partial is not on) or there is a hold on the order.
What is the Pending Shipments report used for?
The primary purpose of the reports is to allow you to quickly see all the items and orders that need to be shipped. You can see when the item was allocated and if it’s currently in a tote or locked by a picker.
Report Columns
- Created At - The date and time that the pending shipment was created. This is when inventory was allocated to this order. Note that this time gets updated whenever an order gets processed, so it’s not an indication of how long the item has been allocated.
- Shipment ID - The internal id of the shipment. All items with the same id are in the same shipment.
- Locked By - The user that has a lock on the shipment.
- Ship Priority - The value of the “Priority” flag on an order.
- Order Date - The date and time in which the order was created.
- Required Ship Date - The required ship date of the order.
- 3PL Customer - The 3PL customer (if applicable) that this order is for.
- Store - The name of the store the order is for.
- Order Number - The order number - remember that if orders are merged, this can be different within the same pending shipment.
- SKU - The SKU of the item.
- Product Name - The item name.
- Quantity - The quantity of the item pending shipment. This may not match the quantity ordered if the item was partially shipped already.
- Is Component - If this item is part of a kit, this field will indicate that. Kit components are shown as separate items in a pending shipment.
- Status - The status of the order.
- Ready To Ship - Indicates that the pending shipment is ready to ship.
- Tote - The tote that this pending shipment is currently in.
- Warehouse - The warehouse that this shipment is allocated to.
- Actions - If the shipment is locked, a button to unlock it will appear here.
The report also has several useful filters and a search to help you find specific shipments. Note that by default the Ready To Ship filter is set to Yes, so only shipments that can ship will be shown unless you adjust the filter.
