To map shipping methods for orders imported via CartRover, create an automation rule using the Shipping Name trigger. This field corresponds to the shipping option selected by the customer at checkout and can be verified on the Manage Orders page.
For example, to ship all orders with the Shipping Name "None" via the cheapest option, create a rule as shown below:
Setting the Required Ship Date for Orders from CartRover
By default, ShipHero applies a required ship date of 1 business day. To use a different required ship date, add the action to the shipping method rule you already created.
For example, to assign a required ship date of 2 business days to all orders with the shipping name "None":
Setting a Shipping Cut-Off Time for CartRover Orders
ShipHero does not use a default shipping cut-off. Processing is governed by your custom automation rules — define your cut-off requirements within those rules to meet specific delivery promises.
Automation rules operate according to your account's configured time zone.
Setting Up Wildcard Matching with Shipping Methods for CartRover Orders
To achieve wildcard-style matching, use the Contains option in your automation rule trigger. This is useful when multiple shipping methods share a common word and you want to map them all to the same carrier.
For example, if you have the following shipping methods:
- Free Shipping – New York
- Free Shipping – New Jersey
- Free Shipping – California
You can create a single rule using Contains > "Free Shipping – " instead of a separate rule for each state.
If you are a 3PL, you will need to create these rules in your clients' accounts.
