ShipHero makes it easy to identify when a Purchase Order needs to be created through Low Stock Notifications. A Reorder Level needs to be specified within a product's settings to trigger the scheduled notification. When a product's available quantity dips below the Reorder Level it will be added to the Low Stock Notification; prompting you to order inventory ahead so the product does not run out.
Low Stock Notifications are sent using the UTC timezone, not the default timezone set on the My Account > Settings page.
Setting Up a Low Stock Notification
To enable Low Stock Notifications and schedule when and whom receives them, follow the steps below:
- Go to the My Account > Settings > Notifications page.
- Check the Active box for Low Stock.
- Choose the day and time that you want to be notified.
- Add the email address you want the notification sent to.
Note for 3PLs: Low Stock Notifications need to be set up from the child account so that the person specified in the email is notified when they need to create a Purchase Order. Low Stock Notifications are not sent when enabled at the 3PL account level.
