ShipHero allows you to delete and deactivate products to keep the most relevant data in your account easily accessible. If you need historical data for products, we recommend using the "Inactive" product setting instead of deleting them.
Making a Product Inactive
Making a product inactive will ONLY hide the product from the default view on the product listing page. To view inactive products, select Inactive in the Active Products filter on the Inventory > Products page. Making a product Inactive will not remove the SKU from the other parts of the platform. They are still visible on the product list in the mobile app and may be included in a Cycle Count if the product meets the parameters specified.
How to Make a Product Inactive
There are multiple ways to set a product as inactive.
- Individually on the product's details page: Select the pencil icon and then deselect the Is Active setting
- In bulk on the Inventory > Products page: Check off the products, select the Bulk Edit option, and deselect the Is Active setting
- In bulk using the Product Bulk Edit CSV. Use a 0 in the Active column to make the product inactive.
Deleting a Product
If a product exists in a store platform and the setting to download products is enabled, deleted products will re-import into ShipHero.
Deleting a product does not remove it from orders or purchase orders. If an order is imported into ShipHero with an SKU that does not exist, you will not be able to process the order.
Note: 3PL accounts need to log into the appropriate child account to delete products.
How to Delete a Product
- Go to Inventory > Products.
- Check the product(s) that you want to delete.
- Click Bulk Delete to delete the product(s).
