SPS Onboarding (6–8 weeks)

Engage Retailers
SPS will engage with your Retailers (Trading Partners) to configure EDI connections and collect sample files.- Ex. Trading Partners: Walmart, CVS, Target, etc.

Configure Account Transaction Folder
SPS will create an FTP folder structure (the Transaction Folder or TAPI folder) based on your account type.- Brand Account Structure:

ShipHero Onboarding

SPS OAuth Connection to ShipHero
Connect your SPS store to ShipHero by following Connecting to SPS Commerce. - Once connected, we verify authentication and access to the TAPI folders.
Dropship retailers typically take 2 weeks to fully onboard. Wholesale retailers require more configuration and take approximately 3–4 weeks.
Initial Testing Procedures
Import Orders / First Test File
SPS sends the first test file. We map the SKUs and/or barcodes in the document to products in ShipHero.
Set Order Import Rules
Once product matching is confirmed, we configure the Order Import Rules to create orders in ShipHero.
B2C/Dropship Orders
Orders are fulfilled using ShipHero's standard flow. The ASN generated at fulfillment is sent to the TAPI folder in SPS. If no updates are needed, the retailer goes live.
B2B/Wholesale Orders
Orders are fulfilled through the Wholesale flow. A GS1 label and other shipping documents are required for this order type. The ASN generated at fulfillment is sent to the TAPI folder in SPS. If no updates are needed, the retailer goes live.
