Accessing the Usage Dashboard
The Usage Dashboard is only accessible for users with the Admin toggle enabled for their user. Here is more information on How to Create an Admin User.
To access the Usage Dashboard:
- Login to the shipping.shiphero.com platform.
- Open the menu found next to your user icon and select Usage Dashboard.
Key Features and Metrics
This section breaks down the key features and metrics of the Usage Dashboard, showing you where to find vital data on your consumption, contract status, and associated costs.
Current Unit Usage Overview
The progress bar at the top right provides a visual for the units consumed and units remaining based on the number of units agreed to in your contract.
The ring chart, below the progress bar, illustrates the breakdown of consumption against your total contracted quota by different categories, such as Eaches, Cases or Pallets shipped.
Filtering the Detailed Views
You can filter the usage dashboard to see the details of your Total Unit Usage or your Monthly Unit Usage
Total Units Usage
Located at the top left of the dashboard, this section displays your overall unit consumption for the last 12 months plus the current month.

Monthly Units Usage
Change the view to the Monthly Unit Usage by selecting it from the dropdown on the top right of the Total Units Usage widget. Then select the specific month you want to review from the Date dropdown; you can only view usage data up to 12 months back.
In this view, the table information provides a breakdown of units consumed that month by category (Eaches, Cases, and Pallets) and then displays them in the ring graph on the left.
Analyze Usage by Category
This section provides a detailed breakdown of your units deduction by each category. This allows you to interpret unit deductions or overage charges based on the amount of items shipped for each category, such as Eaches, Cases, Pallets.
Overages
This section (located at the bottom right) details how overage fees are calculated. Understanding your overage charges is crucial for managing your budget.
Products & Subscriptions
This table lists all your active products and subscriptions. For each item, you'll find the following information:
- Product: The name of the product or subscription.
- Frequency: The billing cycle for the product or subscription (e.g., Monthly, Quarterly)
- Cycle Dates: The dates of the current billing cycle for the product or subscription.
- Status: The current status of the product or subscription (e.g., Active, Inactive).
