ShipX's model differentiates it from traditional carriers like FedEx or UPS. Instead of replacing these large carriers, ShipX acts as a network optimizer. It leverages a combination of express, ground, and postal services from its VDN (Vetted Delivery Network) to ensure packages are delivered in the most efficient and cost-effective way.
This approach is designed to solve common shipping problems such as inconsistent transit times, poor visibility, and rising costs. By consolidating and managing different delivery providers under one platform, ShipX provides a single, transparent solution for businesses.

How to Connect a ShipX Account
NOTE: ShipX recently bought out XDelivery. You will use the XDelivery sign up flow when connecting your ShipX account to ShipHero.
- Open the Shipping > Carriers page and click Connect Carrier.
- Select XDelivery from the dropdown.
- Enter in the required information:
- Profile and Warehouse
- API ID (from ShipX/XDelivery)
- API Key (from ShipX/XDelivery)
-
Click Connect.
- Once account is connected click the Pencil icon to set the Cut-Off Time.
- On the carrier settings page, the cut-off time is used to determine the shipping date printed on the label. Once the Cut-Off time is reached the labels will be generated for the following day. The carrier's Cut-Off time generally coincides with your carrier pick up times; labels generated after pick-up don't ship that day so you would want the label to reflect the next shipping day accordingly.
