Overview: Product Barcodes in ShipHero

ShipHero automatically manages barcode generation so every SKU in your warehouse is scannable — from the moment an item is received to when it ships.

How Barcodes are Generated

ShipHero assigns barcodes in two ways:

  • Automatic Import: When a product is imported from a connected sales channel, ShipHero adopts the existing barcode associated with that SKU.
  • Manual Creation: If a product is created in ShipHero or imported without a barcode, the system automatically generates a unique one.

Make sure your barcode printer is configured in ShipHero settings before printing — the system defaults to your saved hardware preferences.

Printing an Individual Product Barcode

  1. Go to Inventory > Products and select the product.

  2. In the Actions panel on the left, click Print Barcode Label.

  3. Enter the Quantity of labels and click OK.

Printing Multiple Product Barcodes in Bulk

  1. Go to Inventory > Products and use the checkboxes to select the products that need labels.

  2. Click Print Barcodes at the top of the product list.

  3. Enter the Quantity for each SKU and click OK.
