IMPORTANT NOTE: This feature is supported for Shopify Stores ONLY!
The Customer Order Count trigger enables you to create rules based on the total number of orders an end-customer has placed on the Shopify store from which the order was imported. This count comes directly from Shopify store data and will not function similarly for other store platforms.
Things to Consider:
- The customer order count is specific to the Shopify store where the order originated. If you have multiple Shopify stores connected to your account, the total orders across all stores will not be combined.
- The customer order count represents the total number of orders provided by Shopify; ShipHero does not calculate the order count based on when the rule was created.
Common Use Cases:
- Add a free item for first-time customers or when they reach a specific order quantity.
- Add a note or assign a special packaging box for frequent shoppers.
- Trigger an email to the Marketing team to contact customers about a brand advocacy program.
Reminder: Automation rules are applied when an order is generated; orders created before an automation rule was activated will not be retroactively affected.
