The HeroBoard is a real-time dashboard that shows how fulfillment is progressing across your warehouse right now. It tracks the status of orders in the picking and packing queue so managers and operators can see what's ready to ship, what's late, and where to focus attention during the shift.
The HeroBoard can be accessed from the Packing App and from the web app at shipping.shiphero.com/hero-board. It refreshes automatically every 30 seconds and supports your browser's fullscreen mode, which is useful for displaying it on a warehouse floor monitor.
Before You Begin
- Account limitations: 3PL client sub-accounts can't open the HeroBoard. 3PL providers themselves can.
- Required user role permission: Your ShipHero user role needs HeroBoard view access.
- If access is denied: The page shows a 404 Not Found error instead of the dashboard. Contact your account admin if you believe you should have access.
Select View live shipping board, or select a warehouse name in the Warehouse Overview Table below, to open the Live Shipping Board for that warehouse, with more detail on packer performance and shipping targets. Your current filters carry over automatically. See Overview: Live Shipping Board Dashboard.

HeroBoard Summary Cards
Two summary cards sit at the top of the HeroBoard for an at-a-glance read on order volume.
Ready to Ship
- Pending: total orders that are ready to ship and not yet in a tote.
- In Tote: total orders that are fully picked and sitting in a tote. An order only counts here once every item on it has been picked.
- Locked: total orders that are locked.
Due Today
The Due Today card repeats the same three counts (Pending, In Tote, Locked), narrowed to orders that must ship today. ShipHero highlights Due Today numbers in bold red throughout the HeroBoard so they stand out from the rest of the page.
HeroBoard Warehouse Overview Table
Below the summary cards, the Warehouse Overview Table breaks the same order counts down by warehouse and picker status. Select any column header to sort the table by that column.
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Warehouse Name | Select a warehouse name to open the Live Shipping Board for that warehouse. |
| Picker Status | The picker assignment status for orders in that row. |
| Pending, In Tote, Locked | The same three order counts as the summary cards, scoped to this warehouse and picker status. Each count has a paired Due Today figure shown in bold beside it. |
Filtering the HeroBoard
Five filters are available above the Warehouse Overview Table. ShipHero applies your default warehouse automatically based on your account preferences, and the default filter on first load is Ready to Ship on, with every other filter off.
| Filter | What it does |
|---|---|
| Warehouse | Show one or more warehouses at once in the table. This narrows what's displayed, it doesn't open the Live Shipping Board. Select a warehouse name in the table to do that. |
| Tags | Show only orders carrying specific order tags. |
| Customer | 3PL accounts only. Show orders for one or more of your client accounts. You can only filter by clients you're authorized to service, and an invalid account raises an error immediately. |
| Order Status | Show orders by their picker or packer status. |
| More Filters | Toggle any combination of Ready to Ship, Locked, Due Today, and In Tote. |
The HeroBoard saves your filter choices to your browser session, so they survive navigating to another page and are restored when you come back. Every active filter appears as a removable tag below the filter bar, so you can see at a glance what's currently applied and clear individual filters without resetting the whole view.
