The FBA Restock feature gives ShipHero the ability to ship FBA inbound shipments, both as a brand merchant or a 3PL.
Before You Begin
Feature Toggle
This is a transitional feature, so please ask our Customer Support team to enable FBA Restock for your account.
Note: We are building an FBA replenishment flow based on Amazon’s new Selling Partner API. It will supersede this transitional version definitely upon release.
Custom status
An "FBA Restock" custom order fulfillment status needs to be created. This will allow pickers and packers to find the orders by filtering for it.
If you are shipping your own restock orders, create the status in your account. If your 3PL is shipping them, have them create it in theirs.
Multi-Warehouse Allocation
Replenishment shipments must be shipped from a single location. If you have access to multiple warehouses and are using multi-warehouse allocation rules to direct your orders, you will need to create a rule for orders with the FBA Restock tag that prevents them from being split.
Send to Amazon is not supported yet
If you have opted into the new Send to Amazon workflow, you should be able to opt-out by clicking a link in the notification that displays when you access it in Seller Central.
Creating a Shipping Plan in Seller Central
In order to create replenishment shipments that are able to be imported, you will need to do so with the Send/replenish inventory to Amazon workflow.
Upon reaching the Review/view shipments to Amazon step, Amazon will have created one or more shipments from your plan, bound to one or more fulfillment centers in their network.
At the Warehouse
FBA replenishment orders are created with the custom fulfillment status "FBA Restock," and can be picked, packed, and shipped like any other order.
This diagram illustrates the overall FBA replenishment process:
Picking and packing
We suggest using multi-item batches to pick FBA replenishment orders. You can choose to pick using a single tote upon starting your batch, and use the entire picking cart for the large order.
Selecting a single tote will pull a single order into the batch:
Container Labels
You will need to use Seller Central to print the container labels required by Amazon.
You can export the packing configuration from within our shipping page.
The Export packing config button will be disabled until all items are packed.
The packing configuration file is automatically exported in the TSV format expected by Seller Central.
To upload the configuration file in Seller Central, navigate to the Shipment packing section and select the option Upload file.
You may need to complete some details on it, such as the Shipping Plan Number that corresponds to the replenishment shipment.
Shipping labels
Printing labels using Amazon’s Buy Shipping service is only supported for end-customer orders. In order to get courier labels or coordinate freight pickups through Amazon partnered carriers, please use Seller Central. When doing so, set the shipping method in ShipHero to generic label.
Note: If using ShipHero to get the courier labels from connected accounts, you may need to manually edit the destination address. Amazon does not expose the addresses of its fulfillment centers on its API.
