Labels generated on wholesale orders can be voided or discarded to allow for adjustments to packing details. These actions can be performed individually or in bulk, provided the order has not yet reached Fulfilled status. If a void fails on a Courier wholesale order, you can force void the labels in ShipHero and then void them with the carrier.
Important
Some carriers enforce a strict timeframe for voiding. If the limit has passed, you will see an error: "Voiding labels for this shipment is no longer possible."

How to Void Labels on Courier Wholesale Orders
Important
Voiding is only available when the order is in Packed, Ready to Print, Warehouse Completed, or Label Error status. Labels cannot be voided once the order has reached Fulfilled status.
To void labels on a Courier wholesale order:
- Open the wholesale order and navigate to the Shipping and packing labels section.
- Check the box next to the labels and select Void label from the bulk action menu.
- The order status changes to Voiding labels and reverts to Packed once the process is complete.

Voiding API-Generated Labels
ShipHero allows you to void labels generated via the API for Courier Wholesale orders to unblock order processing. However, this void does not automatically sync back to the carrier API. You must manually void the label in the carrier's external system (e.g., UPS.com or FedEx.com) to ensure billing accuracy.
Voiding Grouped Labels on Courier Wholesale Orders
When a carrier supports multi-package shipments (MPS), ShipHero automatically groups labels into batches based on the carrier's package limit. Because MPS relies on a shared tracking ID, you can only void a complete batch. The Void button will be disabled if you select a single label within an MPS group.

How to Force Void Labels on Courier Wholesale Orders
A force void marks the labels as voided in ShipHero when a normal void fails, so you can make packing changes and continue processing the order. The Force void labels option appears only after a void attempt on carrier labels fails.
Important
A force void does not void the labels with the carrier. The labels may stay active, and you may still be billed for them. After you force void, log in to your carrier account and void the labels there.
Force void is available only for carrier labels on Courier wholesale orders. It is not available for generic labels, wholesale generic labels, or Freight labels. To remove Freight labels, see Discarding Freight Labels on Wholesale Orders.
To force void labels on a Courier wholesale order:
- Open the wholesale order and go to the Shipping and packing labels section. When a void fails, ShipHero shows the message "Voiding labels failed. Try force-voiding them to complete the request."
- Select Force void labels in the message banner.
- Review the warning in the Force void labels window. It confirms that the labels will be marked as voided and the order will return to Packed status.
- Select Force void labels to confirm. ShipHero marks the labels as voided and the order returns to Packed status.
- Log in to your carrier account and void the labels there to avoid being billed.

Discarding Freight Labels on Wholesale Orders
To make packing adjustments after a Freight wholesale order has been staged, you can discard the existing labels using the Discard Labels button.
Important
ShipHero only supports discarding all Freight labels at once. This action cannot be performed on individual labels.
To discard freight labels:
- Open the wholesale order and navigate to the Shipping and packing labels section.
- Click Discard labels.
- Confirm by clicking Discard in the confirmation modal.
- The Freight order returns to Packed status once labels are discarded.
What to Do After Voiding or Discarding Wholesale Labels
If you need to change the contents of a box or pallet, select Edit packing layout to enable packing tasks. After completing your changes, mark the order as Packing Complete to generate new labels for the modified packages.
EDI Wholesale Orders: If labels were voided or discarded after an ASN was sent to your EDI platform, you must resubmit the new ASN after making adjustments and regenerating the labels.
Partial Voids: When a partial void is completed, only the boxes without valid labels will appear as active in the packing layout. In this state, you can update the box type or weight.
