Overview: Dashlink in ShipHero

Dashlink is a last-mile parcel delivery service from DoorDash. Connecting Dashlink to ShipHero lets you quote rates, print labels while packing, and send delivery updates to your customers from your normal warehouse workflow.

Important

Dashlink delivers within the 48 contiguous United States only. It does not deliver to Alaska, Hawaii, US territories such as Puerto Rico, or any international address.

Table of Contents

Feature Status Notes
Billing on Delivery Supported DoorDash charges for a Dashlink label only after the package is delivered. A label that is created but never delivered does not create a charge.
Contactless Delivery Supported Contactless delivery is on by default. When an order requires a signature, ShipHero turns contactless delivery off for that package automatically.
Expected Delivery Date Supported Dashlink returns an estimated delivery time with each rate. ShipHero shows that time as the expected delivery date on the order.
Label Format Supported Dashlink labels print as a 4x6 label, either ZPL at 203 or 300 dpi, or PDF.
Multi-Package Orders Supported Each package on the order becomes its own Dashlink delivery with its own label and its own fee. If any package fails, ShipHero cancels the deliveries it already created so you are not charged for a partial shipment.
Rate Quoting Supported Dashlink returns one flat fee per package. The quoted fee matches what the label costs, so the price does not change between the quote and the label.
Shipping Label Business Name Supported (Optional) You can set the company name that prints on the Dashlink label when you connect the carrier.
Signature on Delivery Supported Any signature requirement on the order is sent to Dashlink as a signature-required delivery. Dashlink does not offer separate adult signature or indirect signature options.
Tracking Supported ShipHero checks Dashlink for the current delivery status on a schedule and updates the order. Your customer also receives a DoorDash tracking link.
Void Label Supported (Condition) You can void a Dashlink label until the driver picks up the package. After pickup, the delivery can no longer be cancelled.
Feature Status Notes
Alaska, Hawaii, and US Territories Not Supported Dashlink covers the 48 contiguous states only. Use another carrier for Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and other territories.
Alcohol and Dangerous Goods Not Supported Dashlink does not carry alcohol, hazardous materials, or other restricted goods.
End-of-Day Close and Manifests Not Supported Dashlink does not use manifests, so there is no daily close-out step for this carrier.
International Shipping Not Supported ShipHero blocks international orders from getting a Dashlink rate or label. No customs documents are created for Dashlink.
Real-Time Tracking Updates Not Supported Dashlink does not push status changes to ShipHero. ShipHero checks for updates on a schedule, so a status in ShipHero can lag slightly behind the DoorDash tracking page.
Return Labels Not Supported ShipHero blocks return labels for Dashlink. Use another connected carrier for returns.
Service Level Selection Not Supported Dashlink offers a single shipping method in ShipHero. There are no faster or slower service options to choose from and only one rate is returned.
Tracking Event History Not Supported Dashlink reports the current delivery status only, not a full list of scan events. ShipHero records one tracking event for the latest status instead of a full history.
