Channel Advisor (Rithum) connections in ShipHero have specific limits on what syncs back to Channel Advisor after an order imports. Use this reference to understand what to expect and when to contact ShipHero Support.
For setup help, see How to Connect Channel Advisor to ShipHero.
Known Channel Advisor Limitations
| Limitation | Detail |
|---|---|
| Cancellations from ShipHero | Not sent to Channel Advisor. Cancelling an order in ShipHero doesn't notify Channel Advisor. |
| Exchanges | Not supported. The integration has no dedicated handling for exchanges. |
| New connections start with zero inventory | Every product ShipHero imports starts at zero on-hand for a new connection, and ShipHero doesn't push your existing inventory automatically. Because ShipHero imports orders regardless of available stock, most orders during initial setup come in on backorder until you receive inventory into ShipHero. Contact ShipHero Support if you need your current inventory levels synced first. |
| Refunds | Not supported for Channel Advisor orders. Refunding a Channel Advisor order in ShipHero returns an error. |
| Returns | Not sent to Channel Advisor. Returns are managed entirely within ShipHero, and there's no outbound notification when one is processed. |
| Sync timing | Channel Advisor syncs on a polling schedule, not in real time. There's no fixed sync interval. |
| Unmapped distribution centers | Orders from an unmapped distribution center are silently skipped. They won't import, and ShipHero doesn't show an error, so check your distribution center mapping first if an expected order never appears. See How to Connect Channel Advisor to ShipHero for how to set up mapping. |
