The Packer Performance Dashboard gives your operations team an accurate, data-driven way to measure packer efficiency. Rather than relying on a rough "shipments per hour" count, it compares each packed order against historical performance on identical or similar orders and scores packers in real time.
Contact ShipHero Support to enable the Packer Performance Dashboard for your account.
The dashboard tracks performance across all packers for the day or any selected time period, giving you the visibility to manage labor and plan future staffing needs.
What Packer Performance Dashboard Can Do
- View performance for all packers working during the selected period in a single view.
- Compare active packing time in ShipHero against time assigned in WorkforceHero.
- View total shipments and units packed per packer.
The dashboard uses in-software packing events — Tote Scan, Item Scan, Print Label, and Order Complete — to measure the packing time of each order and compare it to the expected time. Each order receives a score based on this difference.
Scoring Rubric
Scores range from 0 to 10, where 0 is poor performance and 10 is exceptional.
Score Breakdown
- A score of 0 means the job took twice or more the expected time.
- A score below 5 means the packer was slower than expected.
- A score of 5 means the order was packed in exactly the expected time.
- A score above 5 means the packer was faster than expected.
- A score of 10 means the order was packed in half the expected time or less.
Each packer's overall score is the average of all orders packed within the selected time frame.
The Packer Performance Dashboard requires WorkforceHero to be enabled. Once the feature flag is turned on, allow approximately 2 weeks for data collection before the dashboard populates.
Example Use Cases
- Daily or hourly performance reviews to identify trends and improve average scores.
- Evaluate temporary workers during the day or week to identify top performers and make better staffing decisions.
- Assess whether current headcount can handle incoming volume, or use past performance data to plan future staffing needs.
