How to Ship to PO Boxes

All addresses in the U.S. are checked to see if they are a PO Box. If an address is identified as a PO Box, ShipHero will only allow shipping via USPS or services that use USPS for the final delivery, also known as last-mile delivery.

The following services are approved for shipping to a PO Box:

  • DHL eCommerce
  • FedEx Ground Economy
  • UPS Mail Innovations

PO Box 123
New York, NY 10001

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What if an order is mapped to a non-USPS service like UPS Ground but is shipping to a PO box? You'll receive an error when trying to generate a label. You will need to either select a different carrier or update the address to a street address.
  • What happens when I select "Cheapest" for a PO Box order? Only USPS and USPS last-mile delivery carriers will be returned as valid options.
  • What if an address has both a PO Box and a street address? A PO Box in address line 2 may cause issues with certain carriers. It is recommended to put the PO Box in address line 1 to avoid problems.
