Inventory Transfer Workflow (Mobile App)
If the ShipHero mobile app is hanging or unable to generate a pick path, inventory may be stored in unpickable bins. Transfer it to a pickable location using these steps:
ShipHero's batching algorithm prioritizes items in pickable locations. If inventory is only in unpickable bins, the system may struggle to generate a valid pick path, causing the mobile app to hang.
- Open the ShipHero Mobile App and select Inventory from the main menu.
- Find the product by scanning its barcode or searching by SKU or name.
- Select Edit Inventory.
- Choose Location Transfer.
- Set the From Location (unpickable) and the To Location (pickable).
- Confirm the transfer.
Bulk Inventory Update
To relocate a large number of SKUs at once, use the bulk update feature on the web dashboard:
- Log in to app.shiphero.com.
- Download the Inventory Upload template and use it to update bin locations in bulk.
