How to Use Product Profiles in 3PL Billing

Product profiles in 3PL Billing are labels assigned to individual products that allow you to apply fee rules to specific product types. Once a product has a profile assigned, billing fees — such as storage, receiving, and picking fees — can be configured to charge a different rate for products with that profile.

Before You Begin

You must be an Admin or have billing permissions to create and manage product profiles. Product profiles are created in 3PL Billing and then assigned to products in your inventory.

Where Product Profiles Are Used

Once assigned to a product, a profile can be referenced when configuring fees in a billing profile. This lets you charge different rates based on product type — for example, a higher storage or receiving rate for fragile or temperature-controlled items.

Fee Type How Product Profiles Are Used
Receiving by Item Charge a different intake rate for specific product types at the SKU level.
Storage by Product Charge a different storage rate based on what type of product is being stored.
Picking Fee Charge a higher pick rate for specific product types such as fragile or oversized items.
Return by Item Charge a different returns processing rate based on product type.
