How to Configure a Warehouse for a Pop-Up Shopify POS Location

Set up the pop-up Shopify POS location and its matching ShipHero warehouse using the separate-location Shopify POS inventory process. This process has three steps:

1. Create the ShipHero warehouse.
2. Map the Shopify POS location to the ShipHero warehouse.
3. Add inventory to your pop-up warehouse.

Test one SKU from sale through inventory movement before the event begins. Confirm that the Shopify POS location maps to the intended ShipHero warehouse.

How to Close a Pop-Up Shopify POS Location

Close a pop-up Shopify POS location in two stages: remove the remaining inventory from the pop-up warehouse, then add it to your physical warehouse.

How to Remove Inventory from a Pop-Up Shopify POS Warehouse

Remove the remaining quantity from the pop-up warehouse after recording it for transfer.

1. Go to Inventory > Product Locations in ShipHero.
2. Filter the results by the pop-up POS warehouse.
3. Export the product location data so you have a record of the remaining quantities.
4. Use the Inventory Upload template to prepare the remaining quantities for the destination warehouse.
5. Use the Replace action with a quantity of zero to deplete the remaining quantity in the pop-up warehouse.

How to Add Remaining Pop-Up Shopify POS Inventory to a Physical Warehouse

Choose the method that matches your warehouse process:

• Create an inventory upload for the destination warehouse. Use the Change action to add the remaining quantity without replacing stock that already exists. See How to Use Inventory Upload in ShipHero.
• Create a purchase order for the destination warehouse to receive against. Use the Upload Purchase Order option on the Purchase Orders > All Purchase Orders page to upload it via CSV. See Overview: Purchase Order Features in ShipHero.
