How to Anonymize Data (GDPR Requests)

In compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), ShipHero provides the ability to delete customer data using the Anonymize Data button. This feature removes Personally Identifiable Information (PII) from an order, including the address and email address. This process is permanent and cannot be reversed.

Anonymizing Data is not currently supported in bulk actions. This must be performed on an individual order basis.

How to Anonymize Data

  1. Go to Orders > Manage Orders.
  2. Find and open the Order Number.
  3. Scroll to Actions on the right side of the page.
  4. Click Anonymize Data.
  5. A confirmation will appear: "This will remove Personally Identifiable Information (PII) from this order including the address and email address. It cannot be reversed. Are you sure you want to continue?" Click OK.

Important

If Anonymize Data is selected on an unfulfilled order, the confirmation pop-up includes the warning: "This order is not yet fulfilled. Anonymizing the data will remove the shipping address which will prevent you from creating a shipping label."
