User Guide: ShipHero iOS Mobile App

The ShipHero Mobile App lets your warehouse team pick, pack, ship, and manage inventory directly from an iPhone or iPad. Use it on the floor to complete picking batches, ship single orders, manage products, and adjust personal settings without walking back to a workstation.

Personal Settings in the ShipHero Mobile App

Tap your initials or profile picture to update your photo, switch users, or log out.

Dashboard in the ShipHero Mobile App

The Dashboard shows your ready-to-ship orders and the items available to pick. Below your name, use the dropdown to filter by order status, warehouse, and tag. You only see orders that match your current assignments.

To change your assigned order status or warehouse, tap the current value. A menu appears from the bottom. Select your choice and tap Choose.

Assigning an Order Tag to Yourself from the Dashboard

An order tag groups similar orders together so pickers only see the orders assigned to them. You can assign an order tag to yourself directly from the Dashboard using either of these methods:

  • Filters menu: Tap the order status on the Dashboard to open the filters menu. Enter the tag name, press Enter, then tap Apply.
  • Command barcode: Scan a command barcode built with the format shtag__[TagName]. For example, scanning a barcode with the value shtag__Priority assigns you the tag "Priority."

The tag must already exist in your account before you enter or scan it. Enter the name exactly as it appears on the Order Tags page, including capitalization and spacing.

Changing Your Assigned Order Status by Command Barcode

You can also change your assigned order status from the Dashboard by scanning a command barcode built with the format shos__[StatusName]. For example, scanning a barcode with the value shos__Hospital changes your assigned order status to "Hospital."

See How to Use Command Barcodes for the full list of supported command barcodes.

There are three options to process orders:

  • Single Item Batch: Pick several orders with one SKU into the same tote
  • Multi-Item Batch: Pick multiple orders at a time, each order into a different tote
  • Single Order: Pick and ship one order at a time

Single Item Batch in the ShipHero Mobile App

Use Single Item Batch to pick multiple single-SKU orders into one tote. To begin, scan or select an empty tote from the list.

A list of products appears based on the Single Item Batch Pick Quantity set in My Account > Settings > App Settings. The lower left shows the number of orders in the batch; the lower right shows remaining items to pick.

Confirm the quantity as you pick each product. Tap Complete to finish the batch, or select a new tote to start another.

Multi-Item Batch in the ShipHero Mobile App

Use Multi-Item Batch to pick multiple orders with different quantities into unique totes. ShipHero sorts items by order as you pick, so no sorting is needed at packing time.

Tap Multi-Item Batch, then enter the number of totes. This number determines how many orders are included in the batch.

A product list appears with batch and remaining item counts in the lower corners. As you pick, select or scan a tote for each item. ShipHero directs items from the same order to the same tote.

Confirm each pick by scanning the barcode or tapping the screen.

Single Order in the ShipHero Mobile App

To ship one order at a time, tap Single Order, then select the order from the list.

The list of products in the order appears. Scan the product barcodes or select the products on screen, then tap Pack. Select your shipping box. The weight auto-populates, or tap Get From Scale if using a scale.

Optionally tap Get Quote to compare carrier rates. Tap Print Packing Slip and Label, then Back to proceed to the next order.
