This article provides an overview of the Shipping menu in ShipHero, where you manage carrier connections, shipping logic, and packaging inventory.
Carriers
Connect shipping carriers to your account in this section. Use the dropdown menu to add a new carrier and follow the prompts to complete the integration. Note that certain carriers may require additional time for activation while rate sheets are processed.
Methods
Shipping Methods allow you to automate carrier selection and shipping cut-off times based on the customer's selection at checkout. Use the Unmapped and Store filters to identify methods that require configuration. Use the Mapped and Store filters to review existing configurations.
Warning
If a store shipping method is not mapped in ShipHero, orders will default to a Generic shipping method. A generic shipping label is an unpaid label without any carrier designation and cannot be used for shipping.
For detailed instructions, please refer to our article on Setting up Shipping Methods.
Boxes
Manage physical packaging by creating custom boxes and enabling carrier-specific packaging. You can print box barcodes for scanning during the packing process by clicking the Name of the box and selecting Print Barcode.
Box Inventory and Reporting
ShipHero tracks box inventory levels to ensure fulfillment continuity. Click the On Hand quantity to update stock levels; inventory is automatically deducted when a box is used for a shipment.
Existing carrier-specific box barcodes are standardized and cannot be edited.
Use the Column Visibility tab to customize your view, or use the export buttons to generate a CSV or PDF report of your box data.
