Follow these steps to connect a Walmart US store to ShipHero.
Action Required by September 30, 2026
Walmart retired the ability to generate new Delegated Access keys on July 30, 2026. If you already have a Walmart store connected to ShipHero using this method, your current Client ID and Client Secret remain valid through September 30, 2026. After that date, you must reauthorize the connection. See How to Reauthorize Your Walmart US Store in ShipHero for the reauthorization steps.
Before You Begin
- Walmart Marketplace approval: Your Walmart seller account must be approved before you can connect a store. Submit your request at seller.walmart.com. Approval typically takes a few hours to a few days.
- Client ID and Client Secret Required: Go to the Walmart Developer Portal API keys page and log in with your Walmart seller credentials. Your Client ID and Client Secret appear on this page. Generate a new key here if needed, and keep this page open while you connect your store in ShipHero.
Connecting a Walmart Store to ShipHero
- Go to My Account > Stores and select +Add a New Store > Walmart.
- Enter a Store Name.
- Enter the Client ID and Client Secret from the Walmart Developer Portal.
- Optional: Turn on Allow ShipHero to Manage Your Walmart Inventory to let ShipHero push inventory updates to your Walmart store as orders are fulfilled. Leave this off if you use a separate inventory management system or don't want ShipHero to update inventory counts on your Walmart store.
- Select Connect to finish setting up the connection.
Your Walmart store now appears in your Store Connections list. ShipHero begins importing your existing Walmart products. This can take up to 20 minutes depending on the size of your catalog.
