Starting the Freight Order Packing Layout
When the Packing Layout opens for a Freight order, click Create a pallet. You will be prompted to choose the number of pallets and their type. Containers are assigned an ID and LPN automatically — print and apply these LPNs to the pallets for tracking.
How to Add Products to a Freight Pallet
After creating pallet containers, use the (+) icon to add products. There are three options:
| Option | What It Does |
|---|---|
| One SKU per container | Nests a box onto the pallet. See Option 1: One SKU per container for configuration steps. |
| Multiple SKUs per container | Nests a box onto the pallet with multiple SKUs. See Option 2: Multiple SKUs in the same container for configuration steps. |
| In the current package | Packs products directly onto the pallet without a box. Choose the quantity of each SKU to pack and click Save. Packing instructions appear after saving. |
Packing Directly onto a Pallet (In the Current Package)
Choose the quantity of each selected SKU to pack directly onto the pallet. You will see how many units are available to pack. Click Save — packing instructions appear to guide correct placement.
When all products are packed, the status pill updates to All items packed. Click Set as packing Complete to move the order to Packed status.
Editing the Packing Layout After a Freight Order is Packed
Click Edit Packing Layout to return the order to Packing status and re-enable all packing operations. Make your changes and click Set as packing Complete when done.
