The Wholesale Packing Layout lets you add products to containers, change SKU quantities, and use picked Case or Pallet UOMs as containers. Use these options to manage boxes for Courier orders and pallets for Freight orders.
For container types, dimensions, weights, and available actions, see Understanding Containers in the Wholesale Packing Flows. For full packing steps, see How to Pack a Courier Wholesale Order or How to Pack a Freight Wholesale Order.

Adding SKUs to Containers in the Wholesale Packing Layout
The (+) icon in the Packing Layout lets you add a stock keeping unit (SKU) to a container. Select it next to a container to see these options:
- One SKU per container: Nests a new box into the selected container. See Option 1: One SKU per container.
- Multiple SKUs per container: Nests a new box with multiple SKUs into the selected container. See Option 2: Multiple SKUs in the same container.
- In the current package: Packs the product directly into the selected container without creating a nested box. See Packing Directly onto a Pallet.
Important
Only two levels of box nesting are allowed: an outer box and its inner boxes. When the limit is reached, ShipHero defaults to In the current package.

Editing SKU Quantity in a Wholesale Container
Change the quantity next to an SKU in the Packing Layout to add or remove units from a container. Reducing the quantity runs Unpack; increasing it runs Pack. ShipHero shows instructions for either action.

Using a Case or Pallet UOM as a Wholesale Container
A unit of measure (UOM) is a case or pallet quantity rather than a single item. After you pick products in a Case or Pallet UOM, the Packing Layout treats each picked UOM as a closed box. To use a picked UOM as the outer container sent to a carrier or retailer, choose that option when you add a container.
Select the number of UOM units to add as containers, then follow the prompts to identify the products. You cannot add other products to a UOM container. Unpack is the only available action.
