When ShipHero encounters a shipping carrier error, the order is typically moved to the Hospital for a manager to troubleshoot. The Display Previous Shipping Errors feature allows managers to view the exact carrier error message from the previous shipping attempt directly in the Hospital flow — without having to attempt to re-ship the order first.
Before You Begin
- A Hospital order status must exist in your ShipHero account. See How to Use Order Statuses in ShipHero to set one up.
- To use the
sh_hospitalcommand barcode during picking, print the Command Barcode Sheet.
When Previous Errors Are Displayed
ShipHero will display the previous carrier error when all three of the following conditions are true:
- The order in the tote has a previous shipping attempt within the last week.
- That attempt resulted in a carrier error.
- The same tote is being used during the current Hospital scan.
When these conditions are met, the error message appears automatically when a manager scans the tote in the Hospital flow. Clicking Read More displays the exact error message returned by the carrier.
Using the Hospital Command Barcode
During picking, pickers can use the sh_hospital command barcode to flag an order and move it to the Hospital without stopping the pick. Scanning the barcode moves the current order to Hospital status and routes the picker to the next available assignment.
For the standard Hospital location flow (flagging a bin location during a standard pick), see Using the Hospital Location Feature in the Mobile App. For wholesale order Hospital flags, see Using the Hospital Flag While Picking Wholesale Orders.
