How to Use the 'Auto Pack' Product Setting

In most cases, custom packaging, such as inserts and custom boxes, do not have barcodes to scan during the packing process. The packer would need to click on the product to pack it into the box. Save time and clicks with the Auto Pack feature on custom packaging and non-barcoded products.

With the Auto Pack feature enabled, the product will automatically be moved to the left-hand side of the screen to the packed section of the screen when a tote is scanned or the order is opened in the Packing App.

How to Enable the Auto Pack Product Setting

  1. Open the product's details page and click on the pencil icon to edit the product.
  2. Scroll down on the editing screen and select the Auto Pack feature.
  3. Click Update to save changes.

Auto Pack Feature Walkthrough

Take a look at this feature walkthrough to see the Auto Pack product setting in action.

The demo above shows an order with the Tote QA option "on." You'll be able to learn more about Tote QA. When Tote QA is not enabled the Auto Pack setting does not do anything because all items will automatically be packed in the packing section of the page.
