How to Unpack Items from an LPN Using ShipHero Mobile

Use ShipHero Mobile to unpack items from an LPN (License Plate Number) and place them as loose inventory in a warehouse location. This is useful when breaking down a box or pallet and making individual items available for picking.

Before You Begin

  • Activation Required: To get started with LPNs in your account, please contact your CSM or ShipHero Support to have the feature enabled.

Unpack from LPN with Search by Location

  1. From the main menu, tap Inventory.
  2. Select Search by Location.
  3. Scan or search the location that contains the LPN you want to unpack.
  4. On the location screen, find the LPN and the items you want to move.
  5. Tap the pencil icon next to the item quantity.
  6. Enter the number of units to remove from the LPN.

If you are unpacking multiple different items from the same LPN, repeat step 6 for each item before continuing.

  1. Once all quantities are entered, tap the blue Move button.
  2. Scan or search the destination location (this can be the same location as the LPN or a different one).
  3. Tap Confirm to finalize the move.

Unpack from LPN with Search Items

  1. From the main menu, tap Inventory.
  2. Select Search Items.
  3. Scan or type the SKU you want to transfer from the LPN. The app opens the Edit Product screen for that SKU.
  4. Tap Edit Inventory next to the On Hand count. The app opens the Edit Inventory screen for that SKU.
  5. Tap Location Transfer at the bottom right.
  6. Scan or search the source LPN in the From field.
  7. Scan or search the destination location in the To field.
  8. Enter the quantity to unpack.
  9. Tap Confirm.
