Deleting Item Locations

There are two ways to delete item locations depending on whether you are performing a quick fix or a bulk warehouse reorganization.

Deleting an Item Location disassociates the location from an SKU, it does not delete the location from the system. To delete a location entirely from the system you must do this on the Inventory > Locations page.

Prerequisites

  • User Permission: User must have Locations: Delete permission enabled in their user settings to remove/delete item locations.
  • Required location conditions: See chart below for the specific location conditions that must be met before you will be able to remove it from a SKU.
Item location Condition Definition
Zero Inventory The location must have a quantity of 0. If stock remains, you must transfer it or perform an adjustment first.
No Active Picks There can be no pending Tote Picks or open orders tied to that specific SKU in that location.
Unlocked Status The location cannot be part of an active, locked Cycle Count.

Method 1: Deleting a Single Location

Use this method for removing a specific SKU from a bin or cleaning up a single entry.

  1. Navigate to the Inventory & locations > Item Locations page.
  2. Locate the row for the item and location combination you wish to remove.
  3. Hover over the line and click the Delete icon.
  4. A confirmation module will appear. Click the red Delete button to finalize.

  3. Click the Delete button.
