How to Delete Item Locations in ShipHero

There are two ways to delete item locations in ShipHero, depending on whether you're removing a single entry or clearing out a warehouse zone in bulk.

Before You Begin

  • Require User Role Permission: The Locations:Delete permission must be enabled to the user's role to remove item locations. 
  • Location Prerequisites: The location must also meet these conditions before ShipHero allows you to delete it:
Item Location Condition Definition
Zero Inventory The location must have a quantity of 0. If stock remains, transfer it or perform an adjustment first.
No Active Picks There can be no pending Tote Picks or open orders tied to that specific SKU in that location.
Unlocked Status The location cannot be part of an active, locked Cycle Count.

Deleting an item location removes the SKU's association with that location. It does not delete the location itself from the system. How to Delete a Single Item Location

Use this method for removing a specific SKU from a bin or cleaning up a single entry.

  1. Navigate to the Inventory & locations > Item Locations page.
  2. Locate the row for the item and location combination you wish to remove.
  3. Hover over the line and click the Delete icon.
  4. Click the red Delete button in the confirmation modal to finalize.

How to Bulk Delete Item Locations

Use this method for seasonal transitions or when a specific zone in your warehouse has been cleared.

  1. On the Inventory & locations > Item Locations page, use the checkboxes on the left to select multiple rows.
  2. Click the Delete button in the Bulk Actions Bar that appears at the top of the table.
  3. Review the list in the confirmation modal.
  4. Click Delete to process all selected rows.
