Recalculating charges reruns closed events through the rate engine using your current rate setup. Use it when you find a billing mistake after events have already closed, such as a rate you forgot to add or an amount that was wrong. ShipHero regenerates the charges so you can invoice the corrected amounts.
Before You Begin
- Correct rate: Fix the rate that caused the problem before you rerun the events. Recalculation uses your rates as they are configured right now. See How to Create and Edit Client Rates in 3PL Billing Alpha.

When to Recalculate Charges in 3PL Billing Alpha
Recalculation is the right tool when the rate setup was wrong at the time the events closed. Common cases:
- You forgot to assign a rate to a client, so ShipHero never created the charge.
- A rate amount was wrong, so ShipHero billed the wrong figure.
- A rate was set up with the wrong configuration and produced charges you cannot correct one at a time.
Recalculation covers Inbound, Wholesale Order, Recurring Flat Fee, and Recurring Storage events. It does not recalculate ad hoc charges.
Recalculate before you mark charges as Invoiced
Charges in a Ready to Invoice status are replaced cleanly. Charges that are already invoiced or on a draft invoice are protected from deletion, which makes them harder to correct.
How to Recalculate Charges by Event, Date, or Client
