Operational Considerations for Replenishment
- When you select locations that don't contain enough stock to meet the required quantity, ShipHero displays a warning: "Selected location doesn't meet the required quantity." You can continue if needed.
-
Workflow Options: When you have multiple source locations to pick from, choose one of two methods:
- Pick and put away one source location at a time. Ideal if using Transfer Locations that are later moved to pickable areas.
- Pick from all source locations first, then perform putaway. Preferred for single-SKU tasks involving multiple source locations.
Picking Items from Source Locations During Replenishment
- Tap Start replenishment to view the Replenishment draft list. ShipHero splits the total replenishment into separate tasks for each source location.
- Select the first picking task.
- The app prompts you to Scan Source LPN or Location. An LPN (License Plate Number) is a barcode ShipHero assigns to a case or pallet so you can move its contents as a single unit.
-
Scan the items or LPN you are pulling from the location.
To Pick an LPN (Case or Pallet) To Pick Loose Units Scan the LPN barcode at the source location.
The app confirms LPN fully picked. ShipHero automatically deducts the LPN quantity from the total required for that location.
Scan the location barcode (e.g., OVER-16).
On the Scan loose units screen, scan the SKU barcode for each item until the "Picked" count matches your physical count.
- After you pick all items for the source location, the app returns you to the draft list.
- The app displays a Putaway summary at the bottom of the screen, showing the items ready for movement.
| Select item; click Start replenishment | Select task from draft list | Scan Source LPN or Location | Replenishing loose items from location | Replenishing a full LPN | Putaway Summary |

Putting Items Away to Destination Locations During Replenishment
- Tap Start putaway.
- On the Putaway list screen, select the item or LPN you want to put away.
-
Scan the barcode of the new location, or select Sort and filter on the destination selection screen to narrow the list by Location Type.
The Location Type filter shows only locations of a selected type, such as Bin, Pallet, Transfer, Staging, Damage, Receiving, or another type configured for your warehouse, and it works with both Pickable and Not Pickable locations. Use it to find the right destination faster and reduce scrolling when a warehouse has many locations.
- If you selected an LPN to put away, choose how to put it away:
- Tap Transfer entire LPN to move the LPN:
- If the destination is a location, the LPN is moved to that location.
- If the destination is another LPN, the LPN is nested onto it.
- Tap the SKU to remove items of that SKU from the LPN:
- If the destination is a location, scan or enter the quantity to be placed as loose units.
- If the destination is another LPN, scan or enter the quantity to transfer to it.
- Tap Transfer entire LPN to move the LPN:
- Repeat this process for all items on the Putaway list.
When placing items as loose units, scan the SKU into the destination location to maintain inventory accuracy.

Complete the Replenishment Job
- After you put away all units, the app returns you to the Replenishment draft list with the completed task removed.
- Select the next remaining pick task.
- Repeat the Picking and Putting Away steps for all remaining tasks.
- When the draft list is empty, the app returns you to the main Replenishment report. The SKU no longer appears on the report once its requirements are met.
