How to Import a Vendor from Shopify

Maintaining accurate vendor records is essential for generating Purchase Orders and tracking procurement history. ShipHero allows you to import vendors from your Shopify store using a Shopify store setting. Automated creation ensures that the "Vendor" field in Shopify maps directly to a "Vendor" profile in ShipHero, reducing manual data entry during your initial catalog setup.

Automated Vendor Creation via Shopify

To have vendors created automatically when products are imported from Shopify, enable this feature in your store settings:

  1. Open the My Account > Stores page.
  2. Click on Settings for your connected Shopify store.
  3. Enable the setting to automatically create vendors during product imports.

  4. Click Save.
