Understanding ShipHero's GDPR Policy with Shopify

ShipHero integrates with Shopify webhooks to automatically process General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) data deletion requests. This ensures your warehouse operations remain compliant with international privacy standards without manual intervention.

When a customer or store owner initiates a deletion request, ShipHero receives the notification and purges the associated customer information from the platform. All inquiries regarding data processing can be directed to support@shiphero.com.

GDPR Request Processing Scenarios

ShipHero processes data deletion requests based on specific criteria received from Shopify to ensure that data is not removed while an order might still require fulfillment or returns processing.

Scenario Processing Timeline
Store Owner Request Processed immediately upon receipt when requested on behalf of a customer.
Inactive Customer (No orders in 6 months) Shopify sends the request 10 days after the customer's initial request.
Active Customer (Order within 6 months) The request is withheld by Shopify until 6 months have passed since the last order.

Manual Data Anonymization

In addition to automated webhook processing, ShipHero provides tools for manual data management within the platform interface. This allows for immediate action on specific orders when necessary.

You can now perform this action manually by using the Anonymize button within an order.
