ShipHero's ParcelView feature lets the packer take a snapshot of each package before printing the shipping label. ParcelView is available on the Single Orders packing screen (Packing App and shipping.shiphero.com) and on the Single Item Batch (SIB) packing screen.
Important
ParcelView is not available for Bulk Ship, or for orders packed using Bulkship Mode on the Single Item Batch (SIB) packing screen.
Before You Begin
- Account type: ParcelView is available for all ShipHero Brand and 3PL accounts. 3PL Clients can't create ParcelViews, but they can view photos taken by their 3PL.
- Required hardware: Any 1080P HD webcam with a USB connector works. We have tested inexpensive cameras like these with a packing station mounted arm, and it works well for most smaller package sizes. For larger packages, mount the camera higher or use a longer mounting arm.
- Enable the feature: ParcelView must be turned on in App Settings before you can use it. See How to Enable ParcelView below.
Note for Mac Users: ParcelView requires Packing App v0.3.8 or higher.

How to Enable ParcelView
To enable ParcelView for your account:
- Go to My Account > Settings > App Settings.
- Select the Enable Parcel View checkbox.
- Click Save Changes.
The first time you use ParcelView, after you plug in the camera, ShipHero asks for permission to use it. Once you approve, ShipHero can use that camera for ParcelView.
How to Use ParcelView
After you enable ParcelView, the Take Snapshot button appears on the Shipping page at shipping.shiphero.com and in the Packing App when packing MIB and SIB orders. To take a picture while packing an order, click the Take Snapshot button or scan the command barcode.
You can take one image per package. If an order has multiple packages, take one snapshot of each package. Select the tab for the package you're capturing before you take the photo. If you don't switch tabs first, ShipHero overwrites the images from the previous package.

To retake a package's picture, click Retake Snapshot. Retaking a picture overwrites the existing one.
How to View ParcelView Images on an Order
You can view the ParcelView image on app.shiphero.com, on the Order Details page and in the Shipments report. When viewing the label, look for a "View Parcel View" link.
