How to Set Up FedEx Ground Collect

FedEx Ground Collect lets the recipient pay for shipping charges directly. This option is only available to recipients with an authorized FedEx account that has Ground Collect enabled.

Important Things to Know About FedEx Ground Collect

  • This is not the same as C.O.D. (Cash on Delivery).
  • This billing option is only available for FedEx Ground commercial addresses.
  • The rate shown at shipment processing reflects your cost. The recipient is billed at the rate they negotiated directly with FedEx.

Unauthorized Addresses Are Billed to Your Account

If you ship to an address not authorized for Ground Collect, your account will be charged the shipping cost.

How to Set Up a FedEx Ground Collect Warehouse Profile

When only some shipments should use FedEx Ground Collect, connect the Ground Collect FedEx account to its own warehouse profile, then assign that profile to those orders.

  1. Create a new warehouse profile. See How to Create a Profile.

How to Identify a FedEx Ground Collect Label
