Overview: Shipping Containers in ShipHero

The Shipping Containers feature in ShipHero helps warehouse staff sort packed orders into specific containers, such as bins, carts, or gaylords, before carrier pickup. Each container groups packages by carrier and shipping method, giving you better control and visibility over the final steps of fulfillment.

Key Benefits of Shipping Containers

Benefit Description
Accuracy Prevents packages from being loaded onto the wrong carrier's truck.
Efficiency Simplifies the end-of-day process for warehouse staff and carrier drivers by having orders pre-sorted and ready for pickup.
Better customer experience Shipment notifications can be delayed until a container is marked as shipped, so customers get more accurate delivery expectations.
Traceability Creates a record that a package was scanned and physically loaded for pickup, not just labeled.

Shipment notifications go to the store platform when a label is generated, by default. To delay notifications until a shipping container is marked as shipped instead, contact Support to enable this setting for your account.
