Mobile Picking & Packing for Freight wholesale orders lets pickers scan locations and items, then assign the picked inventory to a pallet. A license plate number (LPN) is a barcode label that identifies a container; every Freight order must finish with a Pallet LPN. Inner and outer boxes are optional when packing cases onto the pallet.
Before You Begin
- Barcode scanner: Use a barcode scanner to confirm pick locations and items.
- LPN labels: Print a pallet LPN before picking. If you will use inner or outer boxes, print their LPNs too. Generate LPNs from Inventory & Locations > LPNs. For instructions, see How to Create and Manage LPNs.
- Pallet types: Create the pallet types you use, such as Standard, Euro, or Australian, in Shipping > Boxes before picking. They must exist to appear in the app.

Mobile Freight Wholesale Item Picking Statuses
These statuses track progress for each picking job in the Freight wholesale mobile workflow.

| Picking | Picking of the product is currently underway. |

How to Start Mobile Pick and Pack for Freight Wholesale Orders
Go to Orders > Wholesale in the ShipHero Mobile App. Select a Freight wholesale order from the list. Orders appear when they are assigned or when they include a location without an assigned picker.

How to Pick and Pack a Freight Wholesale Order on Mobile
Freight wholesale orders use the same location and item scanning steps as Courier orders. Follow Steps 1 through 3 in How to Pick and Pack a Courier Wholesale Order (Mobile). Freight packing starts when you assign the picked inventory to a pallet. Every Freight order must finish with a Pallet LPN; inner and outer boxes are optional when packing cases.
Pallet Configuration for Mobile Freight Wholesale Orders
After you scan a location and pick its items, assign the inventory to a pallet with a Pallet LPN.
- Scan the pallet LPN and stick the label to the pallet.
- Set the Pallet Type, such as Standard, Euro, or Australian. Pallet types must exist in Shipping > Boxes to appear in the list.

How to Pack Case UOMs for Freight Wholesale Orders on Mobile
A unit of measure (UOM) describes how an item is counted or packed. For Case UOMs such as Master Case or Inner Case, the app prompts you to choose how to pack the cases before you assign them to the pallet.
- Pack Cases in Boxes: Scan a Box LPN, then scan the Pallet LPN. Use this option when cases need to be consolidated in a box before they go on the pallet.
- Pack Cases Directly on Pallet: Scan the Pallet LPN without scanning a Box LPN. Use this option when cases go directly onto the pallet without an intermediate box.
After you pick all locations, review the Picking Summary and confirm that no items remain. ShipHero moves the wholesale order to Packing status. The manager can review the picked and packed inventory from the desktop. ShipHero transfers the picked inventory to the staging location selected in the Picking Plan when picking is complete.
