ShipHero protects inventory assigned to open orders. If a quantity change would leave less inventory in a location than open orders have allocated there, ShipHero blocks the change and shows the minimum quantity that must remain.
For the location quantity adjustment steps, see How to Adjust Inventory on the Item Locations Report. For changes to wholesale orders, see Overview: Making Changes to Wholesale Orders.

Check Allocated Inventory Before Reducing a Location Quantity
Check the Allocated filter and the affected open orders to find inventory reserved from the location.
Example: If ShipHero says the new quantity must be at least 5, open orders have 5 units allocated from that location. The location quantity cannot be reduced below the amount reserved for those orders.
- Note the SKU, location, and minimum quantity shown in the error.
- In Inventory > Products, use the Allocated filter to check whether the product has inventory assigned to open orders. You can also review the Allocated Items Summary Report for a summary of committed picking demand.
- Review open orders that may be using inventory from the location, including wholesale orders.
Resolve Allocations Before Reducing Inventory in a Location
Complete the order or have the order owner resolve its allocation through the order workflow. Once the open order no longer reserves inventory from the location, retry the inventory adjustment.
If you are changing a wholesale order’s quantity, the order’s status affects what happens next. A reduction before picking returns the order to Default for reallocation. If items have already been picked and moved to staging, the order moves to Hospital and needs a picking-plan update. See Overview: Making Changes to Wholesale Orders for the steps and staging details.
If the displayed minimum does not match the orders you can find, or you need to move inventory while keeping an order open, contact ShipHero Support with the SKU, location, and full error message. Do not reduce stock below the displayed minimum while the allocation remains active.
