How to Multi-Item Batch Pick (MIB)

Use the Multi-Item Batch function to pick multiple orders with different quantities of products into unique totes. This process separates orders as you pick so that you do not have to spend time sorting through products when preparing to pack and ship orders.

Multi-Item Batch Picking Process

Log into the ShipHero Mobile App and select Multi Item Batch from the dashboard. You can also click the Hamburger button on the left of the mobile app> select Orders from the menu> and select Multi Item Batch Picking.

You can just select the number of totes that you will use for the batch. In this example, we have chosen 25 totes, letting ShipHero know you would like to pick 25 orders.

Once you have determined how many orders the batch will be, ShipHero will generate a batch for you.

You will go to the first location in the list of items that you need to pick. You will scan the item and then scan a tote. You will then put the item in the tote and scan the tote once again to confirm the item has been placed in the tote. As you progress, if an order is assigned to a tote and you pick a new item for that order, the app will ask you to place the item in the tote for that order. If this is a new item, you will be asked to scan a tote not assigned to an order.

NOTE: If you scan a tote during the picking process that is already in use, you will get an error pop-up. You will also get an error pop-up if you scan an item that is not correct.

Suppose you run into an issue with an item. For example, if the item states it is in a location, but there is no quantity, you can report the problem by clicking on it and selecting the Report Issue link.

Pickers can check the progress made in the batch by clicking Progress in the upper right of the picklist page. This will show how many orders are in the current batch, which totes are used, and how many items are left to pick.

Once all items are picked, the picker should select Complete. A new batch of picking can be started by choosing a number of totes to begin picking.

A default batch quantity can be set in My Account > Settings > App Settings.

NOTE: If you are experiencing slowness in the mobile batch-picking process, please take a look at the Replenishment Report to make sure your inventory is available in pickable locations. More information about Replenishment can be viewed here.
