Mobile inbound receiving in ShipHero lets warehouse staff receive inventory directly from the mobile app — scanning items, recording quantities, handling exceptions, and closing inbound shipments without leaving the floor. ShipHero supports two receiving flows depending on your account configuration: receiving to LPNs or receiving to a location.
Activation Required
Mobile receiving must be enabled on your account to use the Receive to Location or the Receive to LPN feature. LPN-based receiving also requires LPNs to be enabled on your account. Contact ShipHero support to enable these features.

Mobile Inbound Receiving Flows
Both flows use the same inbound creation steps. They differ in how inventory is assigned once items are scanned.
| Flow | How it works | Includes nesting and duplicate tools | Account requirement |
|---|---|---|---|
| Receive to LPN | Scanned items are assigned to an LPN (carton, box, or pallet), which is then placed at a receiving location. | Yes | LPNs and Mobile Receiving must be enabled. |
| Receive to Location | Scanned items are assigned directly to a warehouse location — no LPN required. | No | Mobile Receiving must be enabled. |
